AIR-BREAK SWITCH
• 11 KV/22KV/33 KV A.B switches shall have triple pole construction & shall be gang operated manual operated type suitable for vertical / horizontal mounting.
• Rated normal current shall be 100A/200A/400A/630A/800A.
• Conforming to Indian Standard IS: 9320/1: 9921 & International Standard with latest amendment.
• A.B Switches shall be complete with all necessary components s.a. Base Channel, Insulator [Porcelain/ Polymer), tilting base (rocker/roller assly), fixed & moving contact assly, arcing horns. phase operating shaft, operating down pipe, optg. handle etc. All ferrous parts are Hot-Dip-Galvanized as per IS: 2629, IS: 2633, IS: 6745 &all non-ferrous copper/ brass parts are electro Silver plated at contact tips for corrosion resistance and efficient current flow.
• A.B Switches can be classified into following categories:
1. i) Rocking/ Rotating type (according to typical construction design).
ii) Two Post (6 insulator)/Three Post (9 insulator type). (according to no.of Insulator used), ii) Porcelain/Polymer type Insulator (according to type of insulator used).
